MAKE BELIEVE BENEFIT FOR JAPAN
May 17 @ The Waiting Room, Omaha, NE
This show is a benefit for Bikou-En Orphanage, located in Aomori Prefect in Japan. It currently houses 65 displaced children, who range from ages 2 to 17. Like the majority of orphanages in Japan, they receive no government support and rely solely on donations. In the wake of the devastation of the tsunami, their donations have decreased by nearly 60%, as most of the donors have lost their homes and families as well. The children are in dire need right now, and the money donated will go towards essential things such as food and costs of running the orphanage itself (utilities, power, etc)the tsunami victims in Japan. Make Believe studio is putting together a compilation album where all the proceeds will go towards helping the tsunami victims. This compilation will include all local artists, and the show includes just some of the bands that have put a song on the album. The bands playing are Ketchup and Mustard Gas, Lightning Bug, Flesh Eating Skin Disease, Conchance, & DJ’s Kethro and Dojorok.
